Bush turning Green?

Nope, I doubt. But Bush did declare the Northwestern Hawaiin Islands a national monument. I’m guessing that the uninhabited islands have no minerals or oil therefore it’s okay to set them aside.



I think the monument designation is fantastic although the move was actually started during the Clinton Administration. I hope the media will point out all of the “un-green” deregulation that has taken place during Bush’s term and not let it go unnoticed. We need to keep the big picture in focus and not be fooled into thinking Bush actually wants environmental regulation if it involves any sort of sacrifice.
