When is a suicide attempt not a sucide attempt

As we all know by now, Terrell Owens has officially denied trying to kill himself.  He actually spent 2 hours catching passing with Dallas QB Drew Bledsoe.  So, who knows the real story.  My thoughts - If Terrell Owens needs psychiatric help, I hope that he gets it.  Otherwise, let’s move on.

Let take up the airwaves with important topics like Dallas winning the SuperBowl or Bush finally really and truly trying to catch Bin Laden.

Addendum: so, the inevitable press conference.  We’re told not to believe what you’ve seen or what you’ve heard.  Spin.  Spin.  Spin.  Here’s Terrell Owens is press conference.  I have edited most of it because… it’s mostly drivel.

Terrell Owens

The exact information is somewhat sketchy but it appears from reports from the Dallas Morning News and WFAA and AP - it appears that Terrell Owens may have tried to take his own life.  He may have taken an overdose of pain medications.  My hopes and prayers are with Mr. Owens.

Democrats hold hearings on Iraq failures

The failures of this administration are too numerous to name.  The failure specifically on the Iraq invasion and the Iraq occupation are unfortunately also too numerous to name.  The Democrats held hearings to try to underscore the multiple problems in Iraq.  Not enough troops.  Unable to close and seal the borders.  Not recognizing that we were fighting an insurgency.  No unified authority.  Not enough of the right equipment.  Not enough resources to rebuild the country and to protect the citizens. Finally, not enough of the right troops — insurgencies are best thought with special forces.

CREW has a new blog

Dear Supporter,

The past few years have shown a resurgence in the power of citizen-driven action and you have been a central part of it. The Internet has enabled us to organize, discuss, research and collaborate to hold government officials accountable for their actions. We are hoping you will continue to work with us at Citizens for Responsibility in Washington (CREW) in our efforts to expose corruption in Washington and throughout the nation.

To help make this possible, please join us on our new blog: Citizens Blogging for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington.

Citizens Blogging will give us the opportunity to provide you with the latest ethics news as it happens, while spearheading an open dialogue about CREW’s activities and illegal and unethical government conduct.

We’ve been posting since last week’s release of “Beyond DeLay: The 20 Most Corrupt Members of Congress,” and will continue to post not only on every member in our report, but on new ethical improprieties as they arise.

Check out our blog and let us know what you think by posting your comments. Thanks for your support.

TDS - Clinton

Clinton was everywhere over the last several days.  Man, what a breath of fresh air.  For Christmas, I would like a President who wants to help the poor and underprivileged.  I would like a president who wants to work for a healthier American population.  Finally, I would like a president who cares for all Americans.
