Flight diverted; Passenger left on plane for hours
This happens way too much. There is no plan B. Plan A is to divert from bad weather and wait. Wait? For how long? I have chilled on the tarmac many a time.

It was supposed to be a routine 3 1/2-hour flight from San Francisco to Dallas.
But this story really begins in Austin. That’s where several American Airlines flights were diverted the Friday of New Year’s weekend.
Kati Hanni was one of 138 passengers on board Flight 1348.

Senator Dodd is in the Situation Room
I have tried to keep up with the candidates and post their announcements. Well, there are too many candidates for me to keep up. Senator Dodd announced on Imus’ show yesterday morning. Edwards announces in New Orleans and Dodd is on Imus? There is nothing wrong with Imus. He has a huge following. It just seems like Dodd could do better, classier. Senator Dodd is a fine man. I wish him well.

Countdown: Senator Russ Feingold - bring troops home now
Senator Feingold does have an excellent point. We need a plan to bring the troops home. If there’s no plan, then our soldiers are going to stay and stay. As I have said before, Iraq is a problem that President Bush and the neocons created. It is a huge problem. It is my belief that if we pull out now, Saudi Arabia will invade to protect they Sunni brothers. Iran could not allow that to happen. So they will invade to help the Shea. The Kurds in the North may try to take advantage of the chaos and declare themselves an independent nation which Turkey opposes. Turkey would then get involved. Now, this is a huge regional battle that would pull in other players like Syria.
On the other hand what does staying do if we are stabilizing the country?

Keith Olbermann’s Special Comments have been very good. Sometimes over the top but mostly right on target. This one goes into the excellent pile. He points out that this administration has no creditability. None. Why should we believe this surge will work when the last 5 surges didn’t?
