Countdown: Debate over Iraq
The Republicans have blocked a vote on Iraq war. Why because they don’t want to embarass the president.
Senator Russ Feingold is correct in that the resolutions didn’t go far enough.

This is a specialty of the Bush Adminstration.
The White House asked for a rewrite. Politics, politics, politics. Please, Mr. President, don’t let the truth sneak out. We can’t handle it!!!
As you look at the video remember these facts, during that fateful week in July 2003:
One other reporter was told about Valerie Plame Wilson “sending” her husband to Niger, it was Walter Pincus of the Washington Post. Pincus was working on a story that Tenet told the White House that the 16 words should not be in the Cincinnati speech (full text of speech is here).
Finally, Tim Russert of Meet the Press spoke with Libby on July 10, 2003. Libby testified before the grand jury that he learned the name of Valerie Plame from Mr. Russert. (another great timeline - here.)
Washington Post has an outstanding graphic that has the best timeline that I have seen on Libby role.
Where Montel? I know he is all over this one.
