Corruption can be found anywhere.  Democrats.  Republicans.  Anywhere you find the powerful and those wanting to be powerful, you can find corruption.

  2. I think we can be a little more precise than that, don’t you? Try this.

    US legislatures, on the federal and state and level are institutionally corrupt. The best among many pieces of evidence is how majority and minority leaders are chosen in every one of the 50 state legislatures and the US Senate and House.

    Legislators of either party elect one of their number, not based on who has the most inspiring and lofty vision of change or whatever, but based upon which one of them can consistently attract the greatest amount in corporate campaign contributions. That’s Nancy Pelosi’s qualification in the U.S. House. It’s the qualification for every minority and majority leader. There are legal norms to be observed, but there you have it.

    Legislators are professional corporate whores, and they elect a chief based upon who is the most effective at at.
