GAO reports nuclear stuff easy to get hands on
I almost laugh when I hear Bush or Cheney saying that they are doing all that they can. Really? How are our oil refineries being protected? Nuclear waste how is that being transported across America? Do those trucks and trains have a military escort? We are even worse at helping other countries to secure their nuclear material.

It was an important mission. But a new report by U.S. government watchdogs says a parallel effort overseas by the U.S. Department of Energy has made only “limited progress securing many of the most dangerous sources” — waste disposal sites and abandoned generators across Russia, each with enough material for several devastating dirty bombs. I work right across the street from a huge refinery and on the other side of the street is a gravel pit. Everytime the gravel pit sets off a charge to knock more gravel down, I freak out. There is NO SECURITY at the refinery. I watch the many many double tankers pull in and fill up. When I hear people say they will follow us here. Only because we have ALLOWED them to do harm. Whether it is to contaminate the food, use the seaports, or cross the border. We gave the terrorists the visa’s allowed them in trained them to fly those planes.The airlines are safer but what about everything else. The Anthrax killer was one of our own government men. It was printed in the Readers Digest Article Dec 2003 his name and picture and now he is on the news.
I am surprised they haven’t linked the food illnesses to terrorists from Iraq. Just to sell the war.
