The Great Eddie Robinson dies

ncf_eddierob08 The Great Eddie Robinson dies

If you don’t know of Eddie Robinson then you don’t know football. He may be the greatest football coach of all time. If winning is the bench mark then he is the greatest coach of all time. If the percentage of players that graduate is the benchmark then he is the greatest coach of all time. If being a gentleman in middle of an unruly game is the benchmark then Eddie Robinson was the greatest coach of all time.

From ESPN.com:

The sadness comes not from the news that Eddie Robinson died, but from the fear that not enough coaches, players and college football fans know how he lived.

“It wasn’t aggressive at all,” restaurant manager Bina Patel told the Chicago Tribune. “It was just looking around.”  (more…)

Countdown - Who guarded McCain and company

As usual, Keith does his homework.  He gets an excellent guest, Larry Johnson.  He makes a simple point, if it is safe in that Baghdad market why did McCain and company need to wear Kevlar vests.  Mr. Johnson goes further stating that US soldiers had to sweep that market before McCain and his boys thereby putting our troops at risk for a photo-op.
