Sally Field gets censored

I’m sure that everyone has heard this story by now. Sally Field won an Emmy (and let me say that she is really looking very good). She had the nerve to say, “the would be no God Damned wars if the mothers were in charge.” Fox censored the comment. Considering what we hear everyday, it wasn’t that bad, in my opinion. See the previous post for more on Free Speech.

  1. All I can say is the statement itself was ridiculous . If you look at history , the women were ruthless. To me the swearing showed only one part of her. She felt the word appropriate for the statement. What surprised me is the statement itself. It is proof that ” those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it”?

  2. How dare Sally Field speak for “the mothers”? She DOES NOT represent me or my views as a mother and I take absolute offense to her including me in her bleeding-heart, liberal, self-serving, America-hating statement. Just another celebrity using their celebrity to force their opinions on war and Pres. Bush down the throats of Americans - with or without our approval. I’m sure God appreciated her including him in her “acceptance” speech as well!

  3. Wendy -

I’m positive that you can save your outrage for someone who cares. Polls indicate that you are in the minority. I’m sorry that you pissed about that. Most Americas believe that shooting people who never attacked you and were no threat to you is wrong.

It seems that you are only one that is hatin’.

    thanks for your twisted comments.
