Republican reaction to Larry Craig

Most Republicans understand that Larry Craig is an anchor and he is pulling the Republican Party down with him. As far as I’m concerned Larry Craig and Mark Foley belong in the same sentence.

From WaPo:

Sen. Larry E. Craig (R-Idaho) vowed to serve out the remainder of his term yesterday despite losing his bid to withdraw his guilty plea for disorderly conduct in an airport men’s restroom.

Craig, who said earlier that he would resign if unable to withdraw his plea, said he is considering appealing yesterday’s decision by a Minnesota judge. The judge ruled that some of the senator’s legal arguments were “illogical.” (more…)

WWII interrogations; No torture

Funny, it seems to be in WWII the world was on the line. We had our backs against the wall. The Japanese on one side and the Germans on the other. Our way of life was on the line. Yet, we didn’t torture.

Now, none of that is on the line. Al Qaeda can blow up some planes and buildings but they can’t change our way of live unless we let them. Now, a group of WWII vets tell their story.

Rush Limbaugh on the hot seat

Rush LimbaughSo, what did Rush Limbaugh say? There has been an uproar over Limbaugh’s comments. Personally, Rush is being Rush. He has always degraded anyone who disagreed with him. Always. He doesn’t care if they are politicians, the pope or veterans.

Well, he’s what he said. (BTW, he has scrubbed his web site of the original audio.)

CALLER 2: No, it’s not, and what’s really funny is, they never talk to real soldiers. They like to pull these soldiers that come up out of the blue and talk to the media.

LIMBAUGH: The phony soldiers.

CALLER 2: The phony soldiers. If you talk to a real soldier, they are proud to serve. They want to be over in Iraq. They understand their sacrifice, and they’re willing to sacrifice for their country.

LIMBAUGH: They joined to be in Iraq
