There was a group of bands in the late 70’s and early 80’s that I would group together as Party Bands. These bands really didn’t have that many hits. 1 or 2 on average but in concert. OMG!!! They could tear it up! The Bar-Kays and Lakeside were excellent examples of this party. Lakeside had one or 2 hits. Their albums were okay to mediocre. Maybe they froze in the studio. Maybe the chemistry really flowed in concert. Anyway, Lakeside with a great tune and a retarded video.
