Worst person - Wendy Wright

From Countdown: Worst Person: Wendy Wright, president of the self-styled “Concerned Women For America,” on Fox News said that the advocates of comprehensive sex education are trying to encourage kids to have sex because they “benefit… when kids end up having sexually transmitted diseases and unintended pregnancies.”

———–

All I have to say is if you have a name of an organization called Concerned Women for America, you know that they are not going to liberal.  They are going to more conservative than Michele Malkin and with that extra bit of crazy to make them perfect for Fox News.   This is the dumbest argument that I have ever heard.  Wendy Wright deserves the Worse Person in the World award for today and tomorrow this piece of stupidness.

  1. Wonder what Wendy’s qualifications are? It’s very telling that Fox Noise would find her a compelling guest. Real world and studies showing abstinence does not work be damned. She got her airtime, and FauxNews gets another sensational story. Beginning to think Murdoch and his corporate minions are brilliant… deliberately provoking us all with examples of stupidity, and lack of logic/thoughtful discussion. It’s tabloidism, and we can’t seem to get enough. Meanwhile, in the real world, teen pregnancy rates increased after a steady decline.
The alternative answer is that we really are stupid on the whole, or so disconnected to what is happening in the real world. If so, let us all bow our collective heads in a moment of silence and fight for reason and rationality.
(BTW: Don’t watch Fox, but hear of them tangentially via other outlets, such as Olbermann and NewsHounds website “we watch Fox so you don’t have to”). I consider it keeping track of wingnuts and what they are saying.

  2. Forgot to say that in the twisted propaganda of our times, patriotism, family values, and now “concerned” etc. are some words that give me pause…as they have been hijacked and abused so much by the Ministry of Disinformation and their media cheerleaders. These terms now have a negative connotation, usually.
