Giants win!!! Giants beat up and beat down the Patriots 17 - 14. What high powered offense? What everyone forgot was that defense wins championships! Say it again, defense wins championships!
10:00 - Pats have the ball at the 25. 1st down - incomplete. 2nd - sack by Alford. Who? 3rd down - incomplete to Moss. This was almost a catch. 10 seconds left. 4th down - incomplete. 1 second on the clock. Wow. Now, that’s what I’m talking about.
9:50 - Can Eli Manning bring the Giants back? Samuels lets a INT go thru his hands. Eli Manning somehow gets away from a sack. Daivd Tryee makes the catch of the year. The ball is on the Patriots 25. Eli after throwing up a wounded duck should thank the Football Gods for not getting intercepted. Manning hits Smith. Eli hits Burress for a TD. Burress beats his man badly. Giants lead by 3. 17 - 14!
9:30 - Pats have the ball and they are beginning to move the ball. Welker is killing the Giants. New England has ball inside the Giants 30. Brady misses a wide open Randy Moss for a touchdown. Pats have the ball inside the 8. Welker gets crushed. Incomplete. Moss on an inside slant. Touchdown. Pats up 14 -10.
9:27 - Giants do nothing with the ball and have to punt. Note this possession. Could be a problem.
9:15 - Pats start deep in their own territory. Great catch by Moss. Welker can’t find the handle. Pats have to punt.
9:08 - Kevin Boss makes a huge play. Steve Smith on 3rd and 4. Great catch. Great pass from Eli. First down. Eli has had some time. Eli throws a laser to David Tyre. Giants take the lead!!! 10 - 7!
9:01 - Pats moving the ball but stalled. Brady is losing it. He was yelling at Welker the only receiver that is getting open.
8:54 - Giants don’t do much. Pats with the ball deep in their own territory.
8:38 - What are you talking about? 12 men on the field? So the Pats get another 3 downs and nothing. Instead of going for a 49 yard field goal. They go for it and it is even close.
8:27 - Welker. Moroney. Faulk. Patriots moving the ball but Brady and Welker are getting hit. Outstanding tackle by Antonio Pierce.
8:24 - New England Patriots with 102 yards of total offense.
7:54 - New England 7 and Giants 3 at half-time
7:45 - If the Giants can force a turnover, then maybe something. Woo. Wilson comes free and hammers Tom Brady. The Giants stuff a running play and take a time out. So, what are the Pats going to do with 3rd and 13? Some type of Stallworth screen gets the first down. Brady gets hammered again as he is going to Moss. Holding on an inside hand off. 2nd and 12. Time out. Giants strip Tom Brady. Only 10 seconds left.
7:35 - Ahmad Bradshaw gets loose 10 or so. Giants seem to be pounding the rock. Interesting. Jacobs runs over Tedi Bruschi. Odd play with fumble and an illegal bat of the bat forward. I don’t think that I have ever seen an illegal bat. Unclear who Eli was throwing the ball to. The Giants need to string some plays together and get into the endzone.
7:27 - I’m not sure why the Patriots have decided that they can run the ball against the Giants. Sack! Tuck for another Sack. Maybe the Giants defense will force the offense to wake up. Sweet!
7:22 - Okay the interest maybe gone. Bradshaw fumbles hand off. Wow, that was one of the ugliest series that I have seen in a long time.
7:17 - Giants defense steps up and kills the Patriots drive. 3rd and 2 and the Patriots try to run it to the right. They get stuffed. It wasn’t even close. Now, this game is getting interesting.
7:10 - Kickoff out of bounds? What the hell? Burress drops a first down. Amani Toomer catches a wounded duck for a first down. Great catch!! Don’t tell me. Delay of game. Why is there a camera on Peyton Manning? Smith tips a missile from Eli up in the air and Hobbs thanks the Giants for the Gift. This is the game on this possession.
6:52 - Patriots have 2 good runs. Giants need to tighten up. Brady throws to no one on first down. He hit Stallworth on the numbers for 7. Giants need to keep the Patriots out of 3rd and short. Welker for first down. Giants defense is in trouble. Brady has missed a couple of passes. He is ON like he has been. 3rd and 10. Antonio Pierce interferes with Watson. Ball on the 1. Touchdown New England.

6:42 - 3rd and 7 on the 26. Eli avoids the blitz and hits Smith for a first down.

Eli Manning is doing what he needs to do. I thought he needed to go up top early. I thought that on 2nd and 4 he would go deep. 3rd and short a run off tackle. Okay.
6:24 - Well, the first thing that I can tell you is that the Super Bowl is the most over-hyped evident in the world.
Jordin Sparks was very good with the National Anthem.
Colts did it! Unbelievable game. “Hot girlfriend curse” continues.

Aw hell, I meant Giants did well, not Colts! Poor Eli Manning still in the shadow of his big brother. I tell ya, it was hard to wind down last night. Definitely a game for the books.
Best moment: Eli somehow breaking free of a sure sacking at the end and throwing big. Yes, and agree, Smith et al were outstanding!
