Obama - Yes we can

I have tried to stay neutral in this presidential race because I’m going to support who ever wins the Democratic nomination. I have given money to John Edwards, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. I have tried to get all 3 on my radio show. For me, Barack Obama is a special man. He has caused me to stop in my tracks and say, “Yes, that’s what I’m talkin’ about!” No he isn’t perfect but no man is. He is the man that in needed now because of this I’m endorsing Barack Obama.

Hillary Clinton is a fine Senator but I have been drawn to her leadership. During the very, very dark times back in 2002 where was Hillary? When the Bush war machine was cranking out lie after lie, where was Hillary? When the Senate was debating the Iraq war only a few Senators stood up and stated with a clear voice that this was wrong. Senators Bob Graham and Russ Feingold were the loudest of the bunch but they needed someone with the national if not international clout to effectively stand up to Bush. They needed someone of Hillary Clinton’s stature. Where was her leadership when we really and truly needed it? Because Hillary Clinton let me down, she let the country down in those dark days, I can’t endorse her.

MoveOn.org has endorsed Barack Obama.

Even now and then you can’t dance with the one that brought you. Sometimes you have to leave that person and find something better. Sometime or someone who and lead you where you know you need to go. Barack Obama.

  1. The Corporate media is doing a great job of setting the stage for:

    Hillary/Obama 08

We will see what happens in the next few months….I could be wrong…

  2. I don’t think that Hillary or Obama would take second fiddle but that’s just my opinion.

  3. I’m with you on that, ECT. No way will Obama take number 2, and no way would many of his supporters vote for HRC–and I say that as a woman who still hopes she can vote for a female president in her lifetime.

  4. Its not a matter of if Obama wants to take second chair, he may not have a choice, since hillary has more pull than Obama…

Hillary is alpha-female…she is not taking anything, she would be giving Obama second chair…

Hell, even MADTv knows that, they joke about it all of the time…

  5. I disagree with your choice.

Your argument seems to break down to Obama is charismatic and Hillary didn’t actively oppose the war.

I can’t fault you for the first point. Obama is an inspired speaker and will if nominated be well worth supporting.

The second point is a bone of contention that gets batted about all over the place. That is my point of disagreement.
Hillary did indeed speak against the war and the invasion. You should be able to google up her speeches on the senate floor regarding Bush’s abuse of the authorization to use force.
She has said that if she had to do it over again she would not have voted for that authorization.
I am inclined to believe her on that last point.

Contrast that with Obama who spoke against the war but once he got into the senate didn’t fight against the war as he said he would.

Of the two I tend to think it’s Clinton that will deliver on her promises.

  6. You I wish people would get past the war vote. I want to know how they are going to get us out. What done was done. You can’t go back and change it. Hillary should fess up and say it was a mistake. But come on, how are you going to get us out. We all know if McCain gets elected the military will get pushed well past what it can handle. He wants to send more troops from where I would love to know. But to keep going back over and over on how someone voted. I want an plan to correct things and how are you going to convince everyone else to do it.
