What is a Super Delegate?
The more that you examine something the uglier it can get. Like this election process. Democracy in action, right? Well, sort of. 80% of the delegates to the Democratic Convention are elected by the people. 20% are not. They are super delegates. With this race being so close the Super Delegates may matter.
Josh Marshall from TPM media has an excellent video on what is a super Delegate. I don’t know about you but I’m not sure that I’m liking the fact that someone who was elected to public office 10 or 15 years ago can be a Super Delegate. That doesn’t seem like democracy to me.

Why can’t the peoples vote matter? The politicians don’t want the people to decide. There has to be more stops to keep the people’s voice silent to protect themselves. The delegates and the electorial aren’t going anywhere. Just like earmarks in congress.
Informative video.
So the superdelegates are supposed to represent past party wisdom as well as powerful party insiders…hmmmm
What is also curious is American Samoa’s role in the primary proccess. They favored Hillary. But really, they have a non-voting rep in Congress. Go figure!
So, Obama could win the majority of the “peoples” votes, but Hillary could persuade more of her buddies in the party who are superdelegates to vote for her and she could win the nomination? Hmmm…then the superdelegates are more important than we the people…
So, why even have a caucus or primary if the super delegates and electorials make the decision.
Where is the democratic government that we the people vote for and want to represent us.
When are we going to wake up and realize that Hilary has been selected to win this election? The similarities to Nazi Gemany and the current state of the US are quite scary. Do your homework?

Hillary was chosen by whom?
The same people that selected Bush to win the election. He did lose the popular vote!
At last, the Democratic Party is slowly being revealed for the elitist party that it is. Super delegates are the most un-democratic, elitist concept I can think of. This is the party that not only wants its Elites to have “control” over the nomination process, but want us to pay our hard-earned money to the government because it knows how to handle our money better than we (”the people”) do. I admit, the Republicans aren’t much better in SOME areas, but for the most part this is the party that thinks most people don’t know how to think for themselves. I hope people are realizing how this issue, along with the Florida/Michigan mess is going to explode in a catastrophe of alienated people from the Dem party. It’s sad, because I want Barack Obama to be our next president (even though I strongly disagree with his policies) because I think he will unite this country in a way that Hillary and John McCain can not. This country cannot continue along this divisive path.

What a confused, mixed up, partisan and almost insightful comment.
Thanks.
