If someone in your campaign has done something terribly wrong, then you fire that person. Not kind of fire him/her. Is Mark Penn that good? Can you upset unions? Can you appear like a hypocrite since you talk about apposing the Colombian Free Trade Agreement on one hand and have a top adviser sucking up to the Colombians on the other hand?
Hillary Clinton is between a rock and a hard place. Fire Penn and retain credibility.
Okay, I take it back. I have no idea what kind of team offense Memphis is running. It is crap. It is a bunch of talented guys playing one-on-one. There are no plays. Kansas is standing around waiting for someone to take a shot. Crazy. Kansas has an edge inside. They need to be running plays to bound the ball inside.

I was just going to say that I’m watching an excellent basketball game. Both teams are pushing the ball. They are playing team offense and defense. Just as I was typing this Kansas had a 3-on-1 fast break and some knucklehead pulled up and shot a wild 3-point attempt. What? Discipline. Of course, the ball clanked off the …nothing. It was an air ball. Memphis grabs the airball and pushes the ball the other way.
I have talked about Alabama Governor Don Siegelman several times over the last month to six weeks. What is disturbing about this is case is if “they” can throw an ex-Governor in jail with almost no evidence, what chance to the rest of us have? If we get in the cross-hairs of the wrong people we are done.
Siegelman was just released from jail. He has granted 60 minutes an interview. He looks thin, tired and beaten.
Before 2 or 3 weeks ago, I really tried to stay neutral. I tried to avoid criticizing Hillary Clinton because she was/is a democrat. Then the Dark Days started just before voting in Texas and Ohio. In spite of some criticism, I believe that I tried to stay positive. I would praise Hillary when I could because no matter what happens I’m voting for the Democratic nominee. I think that 99% of Democrats truly feel this way. We can’t have another 4 years of Bush-lite which is Reagan on steroids.
I believe that any objective observer would conclude that Hillary Clinton’s campaign has hit a few speed bumps in the last several weeks.
