McCain’s Changing Iraq Policy

Talking Points Memo shows us that Senator John McCain has changed his Iraq policy over the years. Now, he wants us to stay in Iraq for “some time.” I’m not sure what that means, but McCain was quick to point out to those of us who question his judgment that we are just too ignorant to understand.
No one asked him how we are going to pay for all the costs of our troops being there. It isn’t just casualties that people count. How about the mental problems of the returning troops. Just because you aren’t patrolling the streets doesn’t mean that the soldiers aren’t affected by the long intense hours, extreme heat and only 2 weeks off a year. The human cost is far greater than just the soldiers that die over there..
Pay? John McCain pay? Not going to happen.
