  1. I can’t stand to hear him talk about the “brave soldiers” when he is responsible for thousands of their deaths.

  2. Bush and most in his inner circle did not serve. No, Memorial Day is a sad event, all the more recently with the Mideast.

    GRASS

    by: Carl Sandburg (1878-1967)

PILE the bodies high at Austerlitz and Waterloo,
Shovel them under and let me work–
I am the grass; I cover all.

And pile them high at Gettysburg
And pile them high at Ypres and Verdun.
Shovel them under and let me work.
Two years, ten years, and passengers ask the conductor:
    What place is this?
    Where are we now?

    I am the grass.
    Let me work.

I’m with you on this one. He is even harder to stomach on Memorial day.
