- The GREAT director and actor Sydney Pollack has died. He fought cancer for the last six to seven months.
- Dick Martin of the revolutionary late 1960s comedy “Laugh In” died. In the late 60s this country seemed to be falling apart. There were several short-lived comedy’s which really changed television forever and “Laugh In” was one of those comedies. “Laugh In” was to America what “Monty Python” was to Britain.
