Keith Olbermann tells us how John McCain and his chief economic policy adviser former Senator Phil Gramm of Texas help develop then maintain the Enron Loophole. This Loophole has allowed energy speculators to pump up the price of gas. This is an excellent report.
Obama has given a major speech stating that he wants to close the Enron Loophole.
Enron…Coal…Oil…Politics. It sickens and saddens me. All I can say is that are really are strong (if outnumbered) progressives in Texas, and we are committed to making this the year we take back our state and our country from Texans like Bush, Rove, Gramm, Perry and the rest of the sinister military-industrial-oil cartel that has brought our world to the brink of disaster. God Bless Texas in the meantime.

Senator Jim Matheson D-Utah supposedly has written a bill that would close the gap. I am wondering why the republicans haven’t addressed this issue? You hear the Saudi’s even come on and say it is the spectators who are responsible.
Also on NPR they had a program about why they want access to Alaska. According the economist it is how the oil companies keep the stock value high. If they have possibities of more oil then the company is worth more. There are 68 million acres leased by them and they are not looking for oil. But it is possible that there is oil there. Until they can access untouched terrain there stock won’t go up. They state that the stock holders will go to another company who gets virgin ground that they can still look. So it isn’t about what might be there but a land grab to make more money. So far the public isn’t buying it . I HOPE !!!!
