Microsoft Mess

My laptop computer told me that I needed to install Vista Service Pack 1 on my computer. How hard can that be? Well the answer is pretty hard. I have now been on the phone with technical support for more than eight hours over the course of three days, and we aren’t done yet. We have deleted anti-virus programs. We have disabled services. We have de-fragmented the hard drive. And we are no closer to installing this service pack than we were before.
This can’t happen to Bill Gates. What does he do?

Ugghhh!
Vista is the most broken thing (after DOS 4.0) to ever come out the gate of Microsoft if you have less than 4 GB of RAM, a 2.66 Ghz Dual Core Processor, or 100GB of free Hard Drive Space. Vista is a resource monster.
I am staying with XP until it no longer works, then I will be going to a Linux distro for my current laptop.
I will await the release of the version AFTER Vista, and it becomes stable, to get another laptop.
FYI, this is the best expression of Vista Rage I have to date, and yes, Vista would have caused me to take a second look at a Mac OS if I didn’t have people working for me who have Macs on their machines. They sound as bad as the guy in that video.
You know the sad thing is that I have 4 GB of RAM. I have the fast dual core.
My laptop is Vista. My 2 desktops are XP. I’m not switching with any of them.
thanks for your comments.
I love your question at the end. Maybe we could do some bussiness together: selling WWBGD bracelets!!! Computer geeks everywhere would love them. On second thought, this idea is now patent pending…
I love it!!
Thanks for the comment.
