McCain’s $550 Shoes

It looks like Senator John McCain has been wearing a $550 pair of Salvatore Ferragamo ‘Pregiato’ Moccasin shoes (see the detailed picture below). Now, this wouldn’t be a big deal since this campaign is about ideas and the direction of the country, EXCEPT that the media made a big deal about haircuts earlier. So, I’m guessing if a $400 haircut is a big deal, then we should hear about several days worth of coverage on how how McCain can’t relate to middle America because of his $550 pair of shoes. And what’s with the “silver-tone” buckles? For $520, they ought to be sterling silver. He is obviously not a skillful shopper.
