Kristol Suggests Clinton’s Endorsement is Shockingly Minimal

Bill Kristol is the cream of the neocon crop. There is nothing that he can’t spin and he never gives an inch– attack, attack! He will never let facts get in the way of his beliefs, and he wants to believe that there is a rift in the democratic party. According to his logic, if Senator Hillary Clinton gave a great speech there could be no rift and Republican presidential hopeful John McCain will be routed in November. If Clinton gave a lukewarm endorsement, then McCain still has a chance. So, Kristol will not believe his eyes or his ears because they were lying to him.

  • Hillary did step to the plate by asking that the Roll Call be suspended. I don't recall any primary loser going that far.

    I'm hoping that Clinton is looking to 2016 when she will still be younger than John McCain.

    Chucklenuts Kristol's mostly mistaken commentary is often just silly. The trouble for Kristol is he seems not to realize that.

    But I can't help suspecting RJ may be right. Hillary's primary campaign has supplied the Republicans with much of their present anti-Barack playbook and numerous vid clips for pro-McCain TV ads. The fact she hammered Obama long after February, when it became obvious she'd lost the nomination, raises questions about her longterm motive. Take Hillary's March zinger: John McCain brings a lifetime of experience ... and Obama has a speech he made in 2002. Think the Clintons couldn't see that winding up in a McCain ad? Their DNC speeches notwithstanding, I think Hillary & Bill are hoping for 2012 now and saying what's necessary to duck blame if Obama loses. So he'd better win.

    I read Kristol's comment. It's true. Hillary did not say what she should have said. She is campaigning for 2012 already.
