I started the show by trying to convince my producer to apply for a bailout loan from our government. Since we seem to giving out money to Wall Street, why can’t we apply? Another lingering question: What is the Gramm-Leach-Bliley act? Then, Bev Hoffman from Tents for Hope discussed Darfur with us. Now here’s a great show for you. We discussed the bailout where we saw an initial compromise, then we it disappeared. I spent a good deal of time discussing the first presidential debate. My special guest was Kurt Eichenwald, a great friend and best selling author (The Informant, Conspiracy of Fools). Finally, we discussed the financial crisis. I received a great call from a guy who just isn’t buying any of this from Bush or Paulson.
