The congress just passed a 25 billion dollar loan for the auto makers. Money Money Money…. It is interesting about 18 months ago. The automakers were protesting congress not to raise the mpg standards stating they would go out of business. If they had one electric car or were making NG cars like they used to they might have the biggest edge in the market.

The AG Firing scandal-OK, so you mean to tell me that Alberto Gonzales and Kyle Sampson, after politicizing the administration of Law in this country were (gasps) harshly criticized for it? No! Better watch out, if congress gets really mad they might write a letter! Seriously though, it would be nice to see Harriet Myers and Karl Rove thrown in the clink for their contempt of congress.
GM and Chrysler’s Merger- Well, if you add a turd to a pile of crap, what do you get? A bigger pile of crap.

Bob Herbert-He is an amazing columnist. I have not checked out the link yet, but it sounds like he is thinking along the same lines as me. I have been writing a lot about this laissez faire capitalism for the poor, socialism for the rich philosophy of the neoconservative movement for some time. Thanks for the link. I will check it out.
NATO forces- Whenever you get a story about a military agency planning to do something that should have already been done, I think it is a good idea to ask yourself what the propaganda value of the piece is. I suspect this operation may provide cover for the importation of heroin into this country. That was done during Vietnam, too.
