Disaster in St. Louis

I’ve been writing lately explaining all the ways the Dallas Cowboys rolled over and played dead for the St. Louis Rams. But then this week’s post would read almost exactly like last week’s post. I guess that the only difference was that this week is special in that the teams did not suck. I wish I could think of some other differences.

The defense was atrocious. No, that is not right. The word “atrocious” implies that the defense actually showed up. The St. Louis Rams had not scored more than 20 points in any game so far this year. Yesterday, in the first quarter, the Rams had more than 20 points. Sure, there were a lot of excuses. The offense turned the ball over. The St. Louis Rams a short field. Tony Romo was hurt. Roy Williams (the safety) was hurt. The receiver, Roy Williams, doesn’t know the offense yet. There are a million excuses. Unfortunately, you can’t win football games with excuses.

After the first drive, the offensive line was porous. Brad Johnson did not appear to have read the same playbook as the rest of the receivers. There’s really nothing positive to say.

That’s about it. 34 -14 was the final score. The game just really wasn’t that close.

  1. I hate to say it, but the Cowboys are Finished! Jason Garrett is ok, of course. But the rest of the coaching staff must go. And we may as well start looking for another quarterback too. Plum pitiful to have so much Talent on any one team and yet, …well, …it’s just pitiful that’s all.

  2. I couldn’t have said it any better myself.

    Thanks for your comments.
