I Took The Wrong Exit To The Right Place

A few days ago I was driving to the airport here in Houston, when I got off at the wrong exit. This though I have driven to the airport many times.

I was annoyed, but I had a sense of where I was even though I was on an unfamilar road. I made it to the airport in time to pick up the person I was meeting.

As I thought about my mistake on the road, I considered how it is good that we can get off at the wrong exit, and still get where we are going.

This shows the following—

1. There is more than one way to get where you are going.

2. Mistakes can be overcome.

3. Not every decision is critical.

4. A general sense of where you are and what is taking place is often enough.

5. There is always the option of following the new road and seeing where it leads.

6. There is maybe even the prospect of getting off the road entirely, and following a path or a trail instead.

Boyz II Men – End of the Road

There are a lot of great “boy” groups but Boyz II Men are special. I just saw a Motown tribute on PBS and it was outstanding. So I thought I’d post my favorite Boyz II Men tune… “The End of the Road.”
