Abbreviated Tuesday Night News Roundup
Barack Obama. What an amazing day. It is a great day to be an American.
It’s extremely difficult to find any news that is not associated with Barack Obama, his transition team or the inauguration.
- Sen. John Cornyn (Republican from Texas) blocked a vote on Hillary Rodham Clinton today for Secretary of State. Harry Reid has promised a roll call vote on Sen. Clinton tomorrow. Sen. Cornyn objects to the lack of “transparency” of some of President Clinton’s foundations. Please… one of the most secretive administrations in the last 50 years just went out of office and now Sen. Cornyn wants transparency. Where was he during the last four years of Bush administration?
- The stock market took another nosedive. All the leading indicators are down. This isn’t good.
- Tuesday afternoon, Rahm Emanuel, White House Chief of Staff, has ordered all federal agencies to halt any pending regulations. The White House wants to review all newly instituted regulations. Sweet.
- Gregg was at the inauguration and didn’t have a good time.
- Thank you, Howard Dean.
