I had never heard of Jade Goody, a reality TV star, loved and then hated, and now loved again. Strange story.

    I couldn’t agree more liz . Steve obviously is NEEDY of attention …………
    Moving on , I wish Jade every single bit of happiness in the rest of her days . At least she knows exactly who she is and is not one bit pretentious and whats more she is loved for it , while others it has to be said , in their bitterness, so obviously are choking on it .

    You, Becci and Liz are correct. You never want to wish ill of anyone. No matter what Jade did in the past, no one deserves cancer. No one.

    I can not understand why it is that sick, twisted, nasty, heartless idiots take pleasure out of other peoples pain. Remember Steven Karma doesn’t care about common/upperclase as Di said what goes around comes around…and let hope it your case Steven it does and if the day ever comes you or you family (if a nasty old git like you still has family around) is diagnosed with anything so serious you’ll know who to blame ey!?

    i have been very compassionate about jades plight being a single mother diagnosed with terminal cancer last october but now i think its gone too far…the laxing of the law…the constant rubbing our noses in the fact a loud mouth, brash, racist can click her fingers and have all she needs, while people like me are struggle to ensure our last days are being lived..get a grip uk get this woman off the tv….

    shame on you for your views,
    Toni – you are in the same position as Jade – why can’t you applaud her for trying to earn as much money as possible for her boys. There is a rise of 20% in the number of women going for smear tests..all because of Jade – how can that be wrong? i’m really sorry that you face the same ordeal but without the financial backing – but thats hardly Jades fault!
    At the end of the day – we are looking at a young mother, about to die and I think she deserves every penny if that means that her peril will highlight to others how quick and deadly this cancer can be and if that save just one other life..then good on you Jade.
    She may not have been born with a silver spoon in her mouth and she has had her share of very bad press, but you would have to be made of wood not to feel pity for her now at this terrible time.
    I hope her last few weeks/months on earth are the happiest she has ever had.
    BTW, she invited Shilpa to her wedding and Shilpa has offically stated that she (before all this) had totally forgiven Jade and she would have attended the wedding but she is filming elsewhere. Shilpa has forgotten thae past – why can’t you?

    Jade is a classic example of a media scapegoat. It was an argument between people locked together 24 hours a day for weeks, hardly natural behavior. Himmler was racist, Jade just a normal girl. People who think otherwise are just dumb enough to allow the media to brainwash them into having an opinion on something they wouldn’t have really cared about, had the same 20 seconds arguing and 10 seconds bitching, not been given blanket coverage by a 24 hour media machine, desperate to exploit any situation to maximize commercial benefit. It was nothing. Poor Jade. I said at the time the news coverage was evil, now they have what they want.

    I agree Babs. If u could have everything u needed during this time would you not take it? I never believed Jade was a bad person during the Shilpa episode,just not the brightest. She didnt realise she was doing so much wrong,doesnt make her a bad person. I hope she will be truly happy and at peace x

    steven baalis is obviously a child that has no concept of the loss of a parent, friend or relative to cancer. Remember the day you wrote this garbage, keep it in your soul. The day will come, believe me, it will happen, sadly it will come. You will be sorry Steven, it will hurt, it will really, really hurt, and I dont wish the pain on you at all.

    from some 1 who has lost family to cancer i just cant comprehend some of the comments iv seen here tonight. Jade Goody is not a bad person and the media and the coverage on big brother are to blame for the way that whole row was blown out of context. She is now exploiting the media the same way they have exploited her and fair play to her. she is doing what any mother would do and thats to ensure a propper education and a decent future for her kids. i take my hat off to that lady. i hope her wedding day is everything she has wished it to be and wish her all the best in the short time she has left. we love you jade xxx

    i have never been so touched by such a person in the public eye. my heart oes out to her and her family. i find myself thinking of her during the day and what she is going through. it has made me think f getting myself all the necessary test. as for her being in the public eye raising money for her boys, why not? i would do the same. She is a great lady and mum, i think she has always been misinterpreted in the past, but if you have watched her reality tv you will see she comes across a real fun loving woman.
    jade has made me think of the importance of life more x

    It’s all that’s wrong with the entertainment world these days.

    Even though she has cancer and I have plenty of sympathy for her there. Still don’t like her.

    People shouldn’t see her as a great woman, she’s no way near it. Try googling Jane Tomlinson if you want greatness. Don’t go over the top.

    Still, no matter who she is or what she has done, she is still “human”, still you know.. just like any of us, and its sad that these days so many young people die, so many bad things happen, so much saddness surrounds our world…
    Thats all… My prayers go to her, her kids …and everybody else..

    In fact even if she wasn’t “human”, but belonged to another sentinent species, her demise would be sad. The quenching of any mind is always a sad affair. Cervical cancer is sexually transmitted in the lions share of cases. Thus like lung cancer induced by smoking, we are speaking of a cancer that could have been avoided by simple countermeasures. Even though we know these facts, we continue to subject ourselves to these risks believing “it will never happen to me”. Although we call ourselves humans, we are still slaves of unconscious and irrational urges. This is perhaps the saddest part.

    i feel people like steven are total idiots and dont understand because if you’ve seen anyone live with any form of cancer you wouldn’t make such vile comments since its something a family never really gets over and things can bring memories back im ashamed at some of the things that are happening to do with this young womans plight i know people think jades an idiot and a crass loudmouth but does that mean she really desrves all this hatred what has she actually done to any individual that is writing this stuff not a lot would be my guess i personally feel she deserves our sympathy and compassion and we need to stop and think about what we say she has gone up in my estimation also she made her name via brainless tv show and now all the people who were saying she is great are baying for blood why? because of an argument that was screened on a tv show at least a year and a half ago

    It is terrible that cancer effects anyone, especially someone with a young family. However, I can’t really feel too upset by it happening to someone I don’t know, with the tabloids showing us all the pictures everyday. I think people have forgotten about how the nation have loved, hated and now loved / pitied Goody again. To draw quotes from The Independent newspaper re. Indian Big Brother:

    “The show features 12 Indian celebrities and is hosted by Shilpa Shetty, 33, the Bollywood star who won the hearts of viewers after being bullied by Goody and other housemates.

    Goody was thought to be earning up to £100,000 for her appearance on the show, called Bigg (correct) Boss.

    Ofcom received more than 50,000 complaints about Goody, Danielle Lloyd and former S Club singer Jo O’Meara’s alleged racist bullying, with Goody referring to Shetty as “Shilpa Poppadom”.

    After Goody was evicted, she said she was “embarrassed and disgusted” by her own behaviour in the house but denied she was a racist.
