Diana Krall – “Walk On By”

I would pay good money to watch Diana Krall sing a scale. Here she is singing the old standard Walk On By. This is exactly what I needed on a stressful Saturday night.

    Very good. Listening to Krall, I am reminded of other great jazz performers (Nat King Cole and George Benson come to mind) who were excellent instrumentalists (check out Benson’s “Beyond the Blue Horizon” for some amazing jazz guitar) before they became popular as vocalists. Anyhow, I guessing you’d be willing to pay just as much money  to watch Diana Krall pump the pedals in those shoes as to listen to her sing a scale (?)! No fault there.

    I did manage to catch George Benson in concert in the early 80′s. He was amazing.
