Yep it is reasonable as long as we adequately fund it and don’t let R’s slash the budget as they have done for so many projects over the years.

Now this is interesting. The state knew of the possible failure of the levees and put off stablizing them.Never enough money in the general fund When does the federal government pass the job to state control.? The levees were built a very long time ago. But they have to have upkeep. If the Army Corp passed this responsibilty to the state then we are back to going around in circles.
Which doesn’t really matter does it? The federal government has been paying for the repairs. It is not like the state can sue for what? Damages? Not likely.

If nothing else this confirms what so many have been saying for years and to many of us our outrage is shared amongst the Army Corp and the horrific response of FEMA, and we realize that there is little ACCOUNTABILITY in government most likely nothing will be done in response. My personal therapy was to publish my memoir, Diary From the Dome, Reflections on Fear and Privilege During Katrina. 25% of my author profits will go to NOLA charities.
