And as for the Tiger Woods story, all you need to know is "If it bleeds, it leads."  But yes, I think we all agree that much of it is crap, but that's because there are so many news media outlets and sources, that they are all competing with one another.  That leads to everyone trying to outdo each other, which creates more and more sensationalism.
