I didn’t say what you should or shouldn’t do.

I said you had a choice.

When government takes away your option and is the only game in town (as in a single payer system), then you have no choice.

So, you are saying that I shouldn’t buy electricity to light my home. I shouldn’t get insurance for my car or health. I shouldn’t buy a car or bike. I shouldn’t buy clothes because any money that I give to corporations can and does go to lobby politicians.

Yes, the founding fathers had many concerns when they wrote the constitution. One of those concerns was tyranny from a foreign oppressive government. As we saw in the late 1800s and early 1900s, corporate influence of our government can change laws against the people and toward corporations.

The problem is, we have to look at the balance between the will of the people, the necessity of government and the power of business. Right now this triangle is tilted towards business.

Odd how you continually fear ‘being ruled by corporations’, but cant seem to see the great danger in the aggregation of political power, which is the chief danger the founders of our country fought to free us from and wrote the Constitution to protect us against.

If you think a corporation has too much power, the answer is simple, don’t give it any money.

If a government gains too much power, that choice is not available, you are trapped, because the government will take your money at the point of a gun.

And it can take a whole lot more, including your liberties.

Limited government is the path back to freedom, not demonizing business people.
