Well, Dr Thompson let's look at it this way.

If your ancestors had been aborted, you wouldn't even have had the chance to be here.

If your ancestors were enslaved, there's no doubt that they suffered greatly but still the black race continued and was eventually made free and you were given the chance to live.

Abortion is far more devastating to the black community than slavery because it takes away the future of the race.

Errington,
I was sorry to hear today that your radio show was going off the air. I always enjoyed your perspective. I'll follow your podcasts anyway.

Listen, I'd like to talk to you sometime. I live in Weaverville and I'm working with some folks to build a grassroots movement to take back our democracy from the big monied interests. I know you are well aware that though the Republican party is despicable and corrupt the Democrats aren't much better. The Republicans openly endorse a brutal economic system that is impoverishing the middle class while seeking to undermine the social safety net of the country. The Democrats tacitly endorse the same brutal economic system, but feel guilty enough to at least seek to maintain the social safety net and in some cases make it stronger.
The powers that profit from the status quo whether health insurance, big oil, banking or the military industrial complex control too many of our elected officials. The kinds of serious changes required to repair the damage done to this country under Reagan, Bush, Clinton and Bush are never going to happen if left to the Democratic party as it is constituted today. Independents are the fastest growing segment of the voting populace. The American people are angry and frustrated. We need to build a movement that addresses the source of the problems facing this country. If we fail to do so the disaffected will most likely join with groups like the Tea Party or check out all together.
There just aren’t so many of us right now that are conscious of the real challenges that are facing this nation. So many Americans only know what they see on TV. People like us need to work together. We need to network and organize so that we have the foundations of a movement ready when the American people really begin to wake up to the horrible scam that’s been played on us all.

Sincerely,
Matt Rawlings
